About Petrovich Development

Petrovich Development Company has a reputation of redeveloping difficult infill locations that removes blight in established neighborhoods that need new and revitalizing retail services. Nearly all neighborhood associations and politicians that have worked with Petrovich Development Company know we work closely with neighbors, local and county officials and the people who are affected by our developments.

Whether we are working with a sophisticated property owner or the once in a lifetime seller of family property, we use creative deal structures to meet their needs. This has enabled us to be able to assemble properties where others have failed.

Our reputation is based primarily on the quality that we build. We have not sold many of our developments because they are all extraordinary locations after they have been assembled and leased on a long-term basis to great national and regional credit tenants. Most developers build to sell and therefore build as cheaply as they can without the long-term interest of the neighborhood in mind.

We create a “sense of place” for the community, not simply a patch of asphalt to buy goods and services. Typically, due to the magnitude of these projects, Petrovich Development Company has the largest investment in the community, usually to a magnitude of 10 or 20 times that of the surrounding properties. We build out of brick block, not stucco. Since we do not typically sell our properties, the on going maintenance of these projects upon completion is second to none and we have a vested interest to build it right and keep the property as competitive as possible. This is a major distinction between Petrovich Development and its competitors. We continue to make investments in our properties and the causes surrounding the community in which they are located.
